Overview

Job Title: Training Lead

Reporting to: Director, Training

Location: GTA, Hybrid

Salary Range: $70,000 - $74,000 (max)

Position: Full-Time Permanent

 

Position Overview:

 

Committed to success and retail excellence, the Training Lead is responsible for developing and facilitating training programs and workshops to adapt outstanding product knowledge, lifestyle, and presentation skills to consumers, deliver outstanding customer experience, and accelerate sales. The Training Lead will also be responsible for creating engaging and effective online learning experiences, such as eLearning and video content.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs, objectives, and content to design effective and engaging online courses, modules, and training materials.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies to create learner-centric content, incorporating multimedia elements, interactivity, and assessments to enhance comprehension and retention.
  • Develop clear learning objectives, outlines, storyboards, and scripts for online courses and modules.
  • Ensure alignment of instructional design strategies with the organization's learning goals and industry best practices.
  • Creates and implements eLearning, webinar, in-person and video-based training content.
  • Conducts training initiatives, continual education, and workshops for internal and external customers.
  • Manages, coordinates and provides logistical support for product and technical education, marketing and launch projects as assigned.
  • Responsible and accountable for consistency in presentation and training material accuracy for specified brands.
  • Develop product or service training in the form of job aids, videos, and e-learning.
  • Create video assets, including using camera equipment to capture and edit final footage.

Qualification:

  • Proven experience with recording and editing of video content.
  • Experience with multimedia production tools for audio, video, and graphics editing (e.g., Adobe Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, After Effects)
  • Proven experience in instructional design, e-learning development, and web design/development.
  • Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Previous experience in technology and retail industry is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous training projects is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual in both English & French is an asset.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Computer Sciences, or a related field.
